One of the best cave mounts out there, if you have the patience to breed it and bring the baby inside, shines out in the Swamp Cave.

Small enough to fit into most tunnels, large enough to avoid most Arthropleura spits hitting its rider, boulder trown deals damage to Arthropleuras (and Kentrossaurus alike) without receiving anything back, has a much larger AoE to its melee attacks than its own size, deals tons of knockback with its melee and none with the boulder throw, and having both a third attack (default "C" on PC) and the ability to let its rider use weapons it allows the use of both firearms and its melee attack at once.

1. Get 3x balm.

2. Get 1-5 beer.

3. Find low lvl.

4. Feed it balm.

5. Feed it beer.

6. Call him Turret Jeff.

For all the new players out there, this beast will be your best friend as long as you have the stuff it wants, now I’m a mobile player so the way I went about this was, I grabbed a soothing balm (of course) and then went out and found one, mine was a level 100 eerie female, so I built my self a trap which consisted of 8 wooden fence foundations, 8 wooden door frames and 2 wooden ramps, now the wooden ramps are key to this trap as what I did when I led it in was unrender it so it lost agro, and then used the ramps to provide me cover while I tamed it, and ya know what it worked an absolute treat, didn’t see me once, and I didn’t need to go through the hassle of getting ghilie either! Quite possibly one of the easiest passive tames I have ever done, and it was so worth it! (DISCLAIMER: I know this is a simple trap, and I did not invent it, it was just one I used on the spot, idk if there is a tutorial about it or not, but please don’t accuse me of saying I “invented this trap” as I didn’t.) And now once your done the tame you have a berry gathering, rock flinging machine!

Unless you want to wait like....A DAY taming with stimberrys,just use beer it’s pretty easy to make if you know what you doing.

This app say u tame with Stimberry I try it took 45 min to get 65% tame on 10* balm mobile, then it rapidly decreases!

I see quite a few around my temporary peninsula and what used to be my old beach before I made a raft house. I’ve encountered one before I had to delete Ark because my old phone had crappy storage and it completely and totally chased me out of my home. I survived, somehow. I was debating whether my team should take it on since we just had a slight encounter with a carno and completely destroyed it. (Team is: Trike lvl 42, Carbonem 14, Pteranodons 27 and 25, my portable parasaur backpack 37, Dilos 20 and 25) I’m not very high of a level, but I DO have a pet dilo I keep in my raft for my little cousin that I don’t take into battle/keep safe.
