Ark really is thinking of the most insane taming methods for these new dunks 😂
Blue breath heals allies pretty fast.
Orange breath damage enemies like a Managarmr but with less range.
Melee damage has great AOE because it bites and strike with all fours at the same time.
Can pick up dinos up to a rex with the front and back legs.
From my understanding, when you use your blue attacks, it boosts the orange ones with the dot meter in the ying yang.
At the time of writing this the info doesn’t say it asks for swords but it very much can as it wanted one for me
If you accidentally aggro the Aureliax or stumble upon one glowing yellow you can use a Gloon's Mesmerize ability on it to de-aggro it and change it back to blue to be tamed again.
Taming it is like a tower defense
Hello guys Lord Fred was sad because you didn’t like his raptor one, so he summoned the council of dodos and has officially decided to show you how to tame a Chinese Dragon (Aureliax).
So Some Warning ‼️:
NOT A KNOCKOUT, NOT A PASSIVE(Like the Dippy), AND DEFINITELY NOT LIKE THE DREADMARE!!!
Instead: I would be Advised to bring these items: 4 METAL GATES WITH DOORS (You will thank me later), A good flyer (Like Snow Owl, cause you will see why), ITEMS (Like Spino sail, Metal Pick, Yuty lungs, etc. it will require from I think 27 different items, I’m not fully sure.), Large Bear Traps (12 or 14 should do), crossbow with grappling hook (I haven’t tried a Cosmo yet, but up it is the Cosmo works.), Your Very Best Weapon Of Defense (Cause it’ll get NASTY.), and Lots Of Ammo. In addition, I’d bring Fur Armor that’s good, cause it’s lost colony and it’s cold, and if you want, MEDICAL BREW.
Spawn: So you will absolutely won’t find them on the ground, so instead, Use a Gene Scanner and look to the mountains. There you will find one.
Taming: So here’s the part where Flyer comes in. You need to fly to Dragon and It will descend to the ground once you are in range. (DO NOT HIT IT!!! FREDS SNOW FLAP FLAP DAIRY QUEEN ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF HOW FAST IT IS!!! SNOW OWL DRIVING IS THE ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE IT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!) anyway, once it gets to ground ( won’t always stop because of cliffs so be prepared) and you get on it like riding and it will ask for a gift. One of the 27 items will appear, and you got above thirty minutes to get that item. So here’s the hard part: once you give it its second gift it wants, it’ll dismount you and turn into an egg. Quickly, before it lands, place the gates and gate doors around so it’s protected. And the bear traps, place them around it. Once the egg lands, those Ugly, Disgusting, Horror Neophytes will come to destroy the egg. There are at least five waves to kill all the Neophytes. Once done, you may claim your egg for yourself. I would advise you collect all the items that the Neophytes dropped too. You can also collect your metal gates and bear traps for others uses. Note the Hard Part is done. (Unless you hate baby raising) now it will hatch once incubation is done, and 123….. 💥!!! Aureliax is summoned!!! Now all you gotta do is raise it, mature it, and feed it till it grows up. (Fred named his Fredyin, cause why not?) the saddle I think is level 95, but Fred Doesn’t have one yet.
Other notes: So its powers are unique, and it’s a fast flyer. now lord Fred is gonna retire to his hot tub. 🦤. He told me that what ever it receives, he will tell a new take on how to tame. Bye and thanks again to you all. LORD FRED LOVES YOU ALL!!!
A few tips I’ve learned to help you:
1) There’s an hour given between tame feedings. Don’t feel rushed to carry everything at once.
2) Eggs can land on top of trees, clear out the landing zone before building.
3) Like OSDs, wild creatures cannot destroy structures on PVE, you can take your time.
4) Neophytes can spawn far from the egg and get stuck, fly around a bit until the defense POI marker pops up.
5) Alongside 4, waves may still progress if a neophyte is stuck, a great luxury that OSDs don’t have. Track the egg with tek binos to be sure.
6) Higher rarity items (ones higher than what is requested) don’t seem to effect the taming progress very much, if at all. Save the high end stuff for high level ones unless you have no choice.
7) Neophytes take insanely huge damage reduction from tames. A high melee character and good weapon will make quick work of them. A gloon is unaffected by this reduction, bring one for some help.
8) If the Aureliax doesn’t “want to be feed right now”, you most likely have a shoulder pet, have the gloon on standby until the defense.
9) Two people on the last feeding helps a lot, one to feed and the other to call out when to feed. The egg drops wherever the head is at, have the other flying close to call out when and where to feed it. PVE structures or bad terrain can prevent building around the egg to defend it.
10) They seem to have set spawn areas and respawn quickly (could be bugged). Use this to farm the ones you want.
11) Egg gender doesn’t seem tied to the parents gender (could be bugged).
12) The cloning cost of a level 47 Aureliax is ~4950 shards.
This is marked as getting a taming bonus, it does not appear to. The hatched egg is the same level as the parent.
You ride it, then you give it items, once satisfied, it turns into an egg then you need to protect it from waves of enemies, once finished you can claim the egg.
The aureliax is a massive flying dragon that spawn in the highlands of the map. on you find one, go up to it and ride it. The aureliax will ask you to bring it gifts, so get them and go back to it and give it whatever it wants. Once you gift it what it wants, it will begin turning into an egg and start falling to the ground and you will need to protect it from multiple waves of enemies. BE CAREFUL WHEN TAMING ON PVP! The egg will emit a huge beam of light that can be seen by any other player and they may try to destroy the egg. the enemies will target you over the egg, but be sure not to fight mar the egg because it does have an hp bar. once you defeat the waves of enemies, you can go back to your base and incubate the egg. once it hatches, the maturation is the same as any other dino baby and it eats regular meat. good luck taming!!!
It likes gifts in the form of random items
They also can request trophies as a gift such as their claws or allo brain
for taming it will request things like trophys(ie talons, vertebra, etc) or items(possibly request ing something above primitive), once thats done it will dismount you and turn into an egg that you'll have to protect for about 5 waves. hopes this helps!
Have every single kind of weapon in your inventory to include tools and trophies from Dinos. It will ask for a specific item or trophy up to master craft quality. After you feed it an egg will drop from the sky like and OSD. Defend it for 5 waves to obtain the egg. Naphalyt will spawn and attack. Drink beer and have good flak to do most dmg. Dino do reduced dmg to them.
You gotta find one, usually around the mountains, and hop on it's back. Then you offer it an item and it'll dissappear and drop an egg you'll have to defend like an OSD. After you've defended it; you can pick it up and hatch it.
Haven't seen many tips on breeding these guys yet so this what I know and have learned while breeding my own line on Xbox Official servers.
1. They eat meat and can raise off of maeguanas.
2. Do NOT put them in the maeguana saddle bags, they will get a texture glitch and when removing from the saddle they can fall through the map and Mesh death.
3. Best to raise on x2 as they will raise in about a week if you leave them out from hatch
4. They can be a pain to pod up when finsihed breeding to keep space tidy, stand directly under the front or back feet of the full grown Aurliex.
They eat so much as babies, they’ll clean your troughs out completely. Make sure they are well fed
Fly up to them with tek suit, when blue, press Y (Xbox) and ride it, hold X to see what it wants for a gift, you can jump off and go get the item it wants then jump back on and gift it the item, rinse and repeat
Get a thrall with at least 6k hp and a thyla easy lvl 150 egg
