Climb the mountain in the redwood forest

Reccomend a journeyman bow with tranq arrows or something else with high torpor and a long range but a basic bow should work

Stand fairly far away from the argy it should look about as big as a flying pteradon.

Shoot the argy continuously as it flies towards you dodge if it gets too close otherwise keep shooting it until it faints. Very easy and pretty safe if you time it correctly the argy flees before it gets to hit you.

For high level argys you will need to build a trap using 3 dinosaur gateways and 2 gates, but for low levels you can just dart them and wait for them to fall.

Their kibble is steep kibble in mobile not the normal kibble I saw asked so much time.

A common trap for Arial creatures in general is that you craft about 4 stone dino gateways, then place them in front of each other (so that it's just a straight row of gateways). The ones on the outside place a little farther away so that you can walk through the sides, then have gates on the outer gatways having one of them open so that the bird can fly in, once you find the bird of choice, kite it into the trap, go through the side space that is larger on the end, and quickly go round to the open gate to close it and now you have easy tame stuck inside your trap. (You can modify this if you want, particularly the size of the gateways for the bigger creatures and it can be used for terrestrial creatures too if you want)

Ok, so everybody knows Argies are slow af. You don’t need a trap if you have movementspeed above 134%! (At least I don’t use them) just run away for a time, turn around, shout about 3-4 arrows , repeat!

Hey don’t bother with traps just get tranquility dart and rifle or bow and tranquility arrows. Great tame. Just remember to keep other tames away or passive.

Using tranq arrows or darts does the job quickly. Try and get it in an open area and shoot it. It'll fly away when it's about to fall asleep. One tranq arrows while it's flying away and it should be knocked out.

Easy trap to tame an argy!

Make four wooden gate frames and two gates. Place them, one in front of the other and make sure the gaps between them aren't big enough for the argy to escape. Put a gate on the first and last doorframe. Close the last door and leave the entrance open. Aggro the argy and lead it in the trap, once its inside close the gate. You can exit the trap from the gaps between the gate frames.

Then you can just knock it out!

Warning: don't leave the argentavis in the trap for too long without knocking it out because it can break wood

In MOBILE this does NOT fut through the 1 x 2 at all!

Pretty easy but a little hard way on how to get an argy:

1. Get 12 stone doorframes, two stone foundations, two stone ceilings, tranqs, bio toxin or narcos, and taming weapon (preferably crossbow or long neck)

2. Place down two stone foundations (1x2) and place stone doorframes (two high) but leave one short side open, place two roofs to block top, and a ramp that leads into it if it makes it easier for you

3. Find the argy of choice and get its attention, run up the ramp (or jump into it) and make sure the argy follows into it, run to the back and place the last two stone doorframes and it should stay

4. Shoot it up through the holes, once its knocked, feed it its preferred food (kibble, prime meat, regular meat, etc) or starve it (dododex has starve timer and narcos needed)

5. Enjoy the argy

Scrolled for a bit and didn’t see this but if you want to tame these amazing flyers wait for them to enter rapid regen (eat a corpse) from there tranq it out and if it’s still in rapid regen when unconscious it will eat food and tame incredibly fast (under a minute for most)

Argentavis

Temper: Distractive to Aggressive

Animal Temper: Docile (Passive, but if an animal attacks it, Aggressive.)

Argentavis has the second largest wingspan. Only few flying creatures rival it. Argentavis was a carrion-eater, meaning that it was a giant vulture crossed with a eagle and eats corpses with delight. It can be known for it’s massive wings and eagle like body. Argentavis can regenerate lots of health when eating a corpse, and has lots of weight. Lots of weight meant that it could carrie a lot of creatures.

Taming:

Recommended Knockout Choice: Tranquilizer Darts

Recommended Food: Raw Prime Meat

Recommended Narcotic: Narcotics

Traps: 4 Wooden or Stone Dinosaur Gateways and 2 Dinosaur Gateways. Make a gap between the gateways that are large enough for a human but not an Argentavis. Place 2 Dinosaur Gateways on the sides of the trap.

Knockout:

Find an Argentavis, usually with a flyer. Then, kill off any other Argentavis that you don’t want or any other carnivore that could interfere with the taming. After, get the Argentavis’ attention. Land your flyer at a distance between the Argentavis. Then, start shooting it with your knockout method. Really, it only takes a few Tranq Darts to knock it out. Now, feed it with your choice of food. It takes time, but it’s worth it.

Or,

Lure the Argentavis into the trap, then close the gateways. Knock it out, then feed it.

Recommended: Minor Soothing Balm, Narcotic, Flyer.

EZ tame just get tranq darts then knock it out feed it raw meat or raw prime meat and done you have argentavis

Since an argy doesn't do that much dmg I lured the argy all the way back to my base from redwood mountain then I just tranqed it and saved my save file and went to get some narcs.

If you are taming one and it is trapped in dino gateways, I would recommend killing another dino and let the argy harvest the body. It will get the rapid regen buff and that also uses there food stat very quickly. So do this if you want it to tame a little bit faster.

This is for the guy up top with his how to tame guide. (No, I’m not trying to diss you.) You don’t actually need a stone gate. You can just use wooden ones, so long as you don’t leave him in there. Also, you only need three. That’s pretty much all, sport if I came off as kind of a jerk, but I don’t want people to waste their supplies. Good luck!

If you have one of these get a raft, build a taming pen on top and a space for landing and you have yourself a good portable taming base for anything it can pick up. I've tamed loads with this. It's easier than flying all the way to base or making several taming pens at different locations.

How to tame an argy. What you'll need: narcotics, biotoxen, or narcoberry, fur armor (for if your tameing in tundra), tranq darts (or arrows for bow), long neck rifle,

Sanguine elixir (optional), (if you want argy saddle), dino gates and gateframes (optional). Argy locations: carnivore island 🏝, the red peak, the volcano 🌋, like anywhere in the tundra, I think on Griffin Mt /fars peak,To tame argy: first craft long neck rifle or bow (not unless you have one already), next craft narcos for crafting tranq arrows and /or darts, next craft amount of tranq darts or arrows according to dododex, next craft dino gates and gate frames (optinal) ,then craft fur armor (for those who are tameing in tundra), if you ran out of narcos for keeping argy asleep 😴 then craft more, now your ready to tame your argy , first go to one of the locations i listed and find argy then build pen (optional)with dino gateframes in a line then place gates at both ends then open a gate (make sure that there is a gap between each gate so you can get in and out but argy can't) aggro argy and run into pen then the argy will be inside pen then close the door the argy cant escape then use darts (or arrows ) to knock out argy, once knocked out then give raw (or prime) meat to tame and feed the narcotics,biotoxen,or narcoberries regularly (id perfer biotoxen though)then just WAIT ✋️ ✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️ and eventually you'll get a argy. To tame without pen: just knockout with darts or arrow and give meat 🍖 and narcos regularly JUST WAITTTTTTTTTT✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️✋️

Fun fact: If you take an Argy while it's rapid regeneration is active, it takes instantly(happened with me)...

For ark mobile: traps are not required for low levelled argies, just keep a friend or two with you and tranq it when it's attacking you, using toxicant arrows is better, it will go down in just 4-5 toxicant arrows.
