Why do you need sand for a boomerang?! And why can’t you just grind up rocks in a mortar and pestle to get sand?

Ark should add a skin that makes it kinda look like a ninja star/shuriken

The best way to use it is to jump, throw it at the creature’s head, and trying to hit the ground at the same time. This is arguably THE best early game tranq method and i have gotten close to this weapon. I am glad it exists.

This is the single greatest weapon in the early game. The second you find sand in ARK, make one of these. They break randomly like a spear, but seem to have better durability overall. They do crazy torpor damage and can be spammed over and over again to knock out even low-level rexes if you have enough of them. Just make sure to right-click to throw the boomerang instead of just hitting with it, which does a lot more damage and less torpor.

Better than the sling shot at knocking out creatures.
