I want her to see Scavenger, but I think she's still got a lot of.... I dunno, "soul-searching" doesn't seem like the right word. Epilogue for her is gonna be her wandering in the wilderness as a loner, where she gets to make her own decisions and her own control.

Wait... this whole thing has been about Outlander being a repressed control freak....

I don't even think this makes any sense anymore. It's 2 in the morning and I'm exauhsted, but I always post the next chapter immediately after I read it.

I'm going to look back on this and wonder what was going through my head. Answer for future me: absolutely nothing, you're exauhsted. Get more sleep.

Ah yes, a grouchy old man prone to raging violence, gotta have one in every story lol. I REALLY think you should read Wolves of the Beyond, sounds like it would be right up your alley, especially with this "gift" business.

My character is Outcast, a coywolf. Her mother was a disperser wolf who eneded up having pups with a coyote. She was the only pup to survive, and when she was young a coyote pup would come beg for scraps at her den. They ended up becoming "sisters" and when Outcast's mom went missing, the pup took Outcast to her pack.

Also, just to shed a little light, coyotes (in my mind) aren't as superstitious/spiritual as wolves. They don't believe in skyhunters, rules from the ancients, that kind of stuff (they still have myths about scary creatures though, as long as there's proof, so don't worry, they'll know about Bone). They're very practical survivalists that believe in the here and now and what they can see.

I thought it would distinguish them a little from the wolves, espically since they're smaller and have more dangers to worry about, so they can't afford to waste time and energy with traditions. They do what they have to do to make it through the night. (They also have simple names that describe their traits, like Giant the huge coyote, Guardian the protective coyote, Scavenger the one thats always find food, etc. That's how the coyotes gave Outcast her name, she didn't fit with them or the wolves.)

Outcast is a red coywolf with dark yellow-orange eyes, larger than most coyotes and smaller than most full grown wolves (Her snout is wide like a wolf's but her ears are large like a coyote's). She's with a coyote pack, but she is still considered dangerous because of her wolf blood, so she keeps her distance to avoid conflict. Still, she's used to being at the top of the foodchain within her pack, so it's a huge difference for her when she comes across a wolf.

“The sassy Tom Hiddleston variation”. I had to combine that lovely Loki sass with the true Norse mythology version, and I’d say I did a great job. ;)

The coywolf would work swimmingly! (See how fancy I am, using big words.) I may end up using one of the characters introduced later on in A Lone Howl…. I won’t go into detail on that until I’ve decided. No spoilers for you, my dear!

I was planning for my character to be a coywolf whose been living as a top pack member in a coyote pack, gets run out, and has to adjust as a lower member of society (probably an omega) within a wolf pack. If that doesn't work, let me know and I can do something else.

We could start planning it now, A Lone Howl is L O N G (and, if I must admit, I haven’t actually fully finished writing it). It’ll take a long time to post, so I’m happy with writing a crossover at the same time.

Well I'd say Ragnorok, but thats already a book series.. Maybe something like "Avery Lauvson: The next Valkaryie" or since I'm suspicious of how Lauvson is so close to Laufyson, (yeah dont think I didn't catch that, we've established I'm a slueth -._-.) "Avery Lauvson: Lost Princess of Jotunheim" or if thats a spoiler maybe just "Lost Princess of Jotunheim and then keep the identity of the princess a secret till your ready to reveal it.

Or if my hunch is comepletely wrong... I really don't know, that's all I've got.

Do you have any ideas on a title for a book about Nordic fiction? Similar to Percy Jackson and Magnus Chase, if you’ve heard of that. It’s about a girl named Avery Lauvson thrown into the midst of Norse mythology when she grew up thinking it was fiction.

I can’t come up with a title at all, got any ideas?
