yes lamprey i agree extinction is not that good.. at all, especially that the boss is fought out open, so anyone could intervene.

My favorite map is also aberration, so I’ll go with my second favorite. First off, here’s my ranking of the maps, no free maps included because I have yet to try them.

Extinction. It’s boring in my opinion, the corrupted creatures are cool n’ all, but they feel like they aren’t hard enough. And to be honest, the coolest part of the map is in the hardest part, so you have to be prepared to go there.

Scorched Earth. This map REALLY needs a huge TLC.

Genesis part 2. The tek suit. It makes it too easy and flyers have no point of being tamed, except for the new R-variants. Rockwell’s innards/proliferation is not really hard because of the Tek jet pack, it should really be disabled so Rockwell’s innards/proliferation can be what the devs wanted it to be. Also literally everything added with gen 2 is way too OP. Tek surveillance camera, mini gun, and the maewing are probably on the less op side of things. Are they bad? Never. Should you use them? Yes, use them if your in pvp. We also can’t forget about the space dolphin. The devs really should have looked at it in a pvp perspective.

Genesis part 1. This map is in my top 3 because of the challenge to it. Yes, I know you can’t build in mission zones and they get boring when you have to grind them, but everything else is good. Difficulty? Hard, not for new players. You need to be able to outrun kaprosuchus and everything you hate early game in the bog. I think it’s a really unique map, it’s just the missions that kinda ruined it. Difficulty is what really makes me like this map.

The island. I’m explaining this later.

Aberration. Basically what HJK said, very unique and cool map.

Ok, here’s why I like the island, here’s the pros and cons

Pros

It’s the first map, and if you’ve played it and completed it, you know where everything is.

It’s easy to transfer off.

It has some decent base spots, along with a lot of creatures.

I wish I could think of more pros, so I’m moving on to the cons.

Cons

Everything is usually a low level, and high levels are rare.

It’s hard to tame thylacoleo because they are on the trees.

It takes a while to actually get an army for the bosses on official servers.

I’ve run out of pros and cons, but yeah that’s my opinion. Extinction is boring, SE needs big TLC, Gen 2 brought way too op things, I like Gen 1 because of the difficulty, Island is good, aberration is a very unique map.

I don’t see the point of taming flyers on gen 2 except for the new R variants, otherwise they server no purpose because you have a tek suit already. Also, who thinks the tek jet pack should be disabled in Rockwell’s innards? The devs wanted it to be this biome that the players were to be scared of, yet we just hover past everything. But removing that, this biome would be all of that, so then bloodstalkers and creatures serve a purpose to enter the biome from the entrance, not just having it cryo’ed and pulling it out when you need it. We need to get this recommended to the devs to that Rockwell’s innards is how the devs wanted it.

I love gasbags too. I found and tamed a high level R-Gasbags. Then I crashed. I spawned in before I had tamed the gasbags, and I tamed it again. I crashed again. I may never get that gasbags.

Sea snake this is 3 hours after my last comment and I want to say sorry it’s just you were very rude calling us immature kids and saying you grew but I stopped asking for a server so didn’t I grow? And most of the rest are not doing this anymore cl1 is barely making contact and HJK is new so….
