The Andrewsarchus Saddle includes a built-in minigun, making it useful for combat and cave exploration, though it requires compatible ammunition and performs best with a higher-quality saddle. Players report that it helps prevent dismounts and protects against hazards such as lava, radiation, and certain hostile creatures. It is also considered inexpensive to craft and lets the Andrewsarchus travel underwater effectively, though its limited jumping ability can hinder navigation.
