Find 2 good level rexes, breed, imprint the baby 100%, train it to 15-20k hp, 3-4k stamina, and at the very least, 1000% melee. Then go and find yourself a giga. Get its attention and stand your ground, and don’t stop attacking. This will not only kill the giga but it won’t take enough damage quickly enough to enter it’s rage phase.

All you need is a Velonosaur to obtain one of these, or a gun with lots and lots of ammo. Find a high cliff overlooking a valley or some place where the giga cannot climb up to you, and open fire. I have gotten 20 of these without the need of any trap or ammo, just a velo.

The easiest way to kill a giga is to have a quez and a gun or turret

You can find gigas in the highlands on ragnarok (top right of the map) be careful thoigh bc allos spawn there aswell and you could get overwhelmed. Also dont go near the canyon bc wyverns spawn there
