Red memories (an abberation story)

(Prologue)

Lunar was walking down the path to the red zone with his karkinos, Shell, looking for red gems and he suddenly heard a rumbling and and he realized an earthquake had started! He was able to stay relatively still because shell had great balance due to his many legs, but his shinehorn, wolf, had been flung off his shoulder when shell had almost fallen. Lunar quickly jumped off of his crab and ran toward the edge of the chasm, and he realized with despair that wolf had fallen into the red zone and seekers were already flapping frantically towards what would be their first light pet kill in days, since the massacre when a tribe had raided lunars quiet hut in the blue zone with seekers and stolen all of his tames except for his rock drake, amethyst, and shell, when He had gotten home, he sat there , stunned by the loss of his home and friends. He ran in and checked on the light pet floor, and realized there was a sign and one shinehorn left, the sign told him if he wanted his sister, raven, who had also been kidnapped he had too go to the coords and drop all of his gear. He knew it would be a trap but he went anyway, when he got there he got off of Amethyst and started to walk into the cave but quickly realized he had been trapped as two men in hazmat suits had collapsed the tunnel behind him. “They must have been hidden” lunar thought as he surveyed his surroundings and he realized he had nowhere to go, the cave was a dead end and it had some weird plant. A noise made Lunar turn around and see that the attackers had dug out the hole but had made sure that he could not get out, and he saw raven slowly being lowered towards the liquid element lake! lunar started to scream at the attackers, lunar didn’t know what the liquid element would do, but soon he would find out. Lunar turned around again to see what he could use to get out, and he saw the plant again but this time it was glowing. Lunar went over and decided he would touch it. He knew most plants in the hollow world were dangerous, but he had a feeling this plant was different. He walked around to the back of the plant and saw through the hole in the rock that raven was close to the liquid element, he wanted to go help her but the pull of the weird plant was stronger than his desire to help his sister, and just as lunar placed his hand on the plant ravens foot touched the odd purple water. There was a huge flash of white light and screaming.

Lunar woke up and wondered how long he had been asleep, and then he saw where he was. In a rock drake nest, and there were two other eggs beside him.
