I agree with the guy who said it was whale poop, I also said almost the same thing but less scientific so he is big brain but it really makes no sense of being whale vomit since they die in the shore with ambergris, wouldn’t the ambergris be thrown up already? Plus if that would have also happened, the sun evaporates the animal which increases the chances of the whale to explode and the ambergris becomes hard and then humen come and discover it, right now it’s illegal( I think) to hunt sperm whales for the expensive material since you could win a fortune with it, so if you think it’s whale poop let me know, if you don’t then go with the other guys.

Ok to stop all fakes real life ambergris is whale vomit. HOWEVER the fact that it’s harvested from rocks proves that it is. Here’s my explanation: Green-brown rocks are giant ambergris that space whales threw up. Seem reasonable? Green if you think so!
To cover all bases in the argument, REAL LIFE ambergris is technically poop, caused by a collection of squid beaks and other hard parts of the food eaten by Sperm Whales, which eventually grows large enough to block the whale’s intestines and kill it. As the carcass decomposes, the ambergris floats to the surface, where it bakes in the sun and is worn by the waves into Ambergris
HOWEVER, due to the circumstances required for it to form, having a rare blockage of a specific thing in only one species of whale, it’s unlikely that THIS ambergris is the same as the real life stuff, as the astrocetus doesn’t live in water, doesn’t, as far as one can tell, eat food that leave behind hard parts to block intestines, and that every one that is killed yields ambergris, it’s probably a different substance all together, maybe blubber or skin oils

Guys, please do a little bit of research before stating what Ambergris is like in real life. No, HLN-A is not a proper source, and no, Ambergris irl is poop, not vomit.

Ambergris, found in clusters of green glowing rocks, only ones that actually give you ambergris are the long pointy ones. best harvested with anky followed by mining drill. can be refrigerated for 24 hours and can be put in tek troughs. carry preserving salts to extend lifetime while you gather and bring it back to your hungry magma

It’s the only food magmasaur will eat , as a baby . After they mature they can eat raw meat as well
Ambergris can be found in the deep sea cave in Fjordur. You can then use it to get the 100% imprint bonus on juvenile magmasaurs instead of having to cryopod them
