Why are you downvoting the pack bonus guy? He's right, wolves gain 5% extra damage per member, with a maximum of 5 members, since the first member doesn't count, it gives 20% extra damage, as for the hyena, each member gives 10% extra damage with a maximum of 7 members, the first member doesn't count, 60% extra damage. Furthermore, the wolf's pack bonus does not increase the pack's resistance, it REDUCES it. If you have any doubts, open the pack bonus page on wiki.gg.
Before anyone says, yes, the wolf's base damage is more than twice as high as the hyena's, BUT, when you use the "pet" option on a hyena its damage DOUBLES, so, yes, a hyena can do more damage than a wolf.
And I dare say the following: A full pack of hyenas with the backpacks and the petting bonus is probably stronger than a full pack of wolves. (Not sure, I don't have the patience to do the math)
More Hyaenodon Meatpack Tips
pretty sure it preserves or refrigerate meat.
The Hyaenodon Meatpack has the exact function of the preserving bin with a few differences.
The preserving bin can hold infinite weight.
The meatpack is moveable.
The preserving bin is cheap.
extends meat spoil time past normal tame timer. preserving salt stacks. hyenadon can be carried by a griffin to quickly move large amounts of mutton across the map from highlands. make sure to fill its inventory with trash meat and ff or it will eat your mutton.

If you go to kill the pack of them always try to kill the one with a glow first. You always get prime meat and usually some other goodies. The rest are just basic meat.
If it goes in family, it's damage and resistence increase and they're lethal (the increases are the same as the dire wolfs).
