If you need to tame a wild Dino that runs eat these near it and lure it to a trap

If you eat a rare flower near wild dinos, they will become aggressive towards you for a period of time, as well as anything you meet along the way. Avoid doing so unintentionally, however this can become useful if you need to grab a dinos attention for taming or to lead it somewhere.

So just get your berrie collecter,find some cattails and enjoy.

If you bring a gathering Dino to an area and harvest the cattails, you can actually gather rare flowers and Plant Species X seeds, so you can gather items and grow a defense

Just harvest cattails with any herbivore that does high enough damage per hit to withstand the swamp, you can use theris, direbears, megatheriums, stegos, or even a trike and you will get hundreds in minutes but be careful of rhynios.

It's also worth it to bring a bronto since you can harvest rare flowers and rare mushrooms at the same time and also at a way faster rate since your attack aoe will hit trees anyway so you can just stand still them spam attack until you get nothing after your last attack.

If you are on ark use the spyglass also works since the bronto's attacks have a long damage window so after you attack you can quickly pull out your spyglass and- Wait what? I suddenly forgot what I was talking about.

Idk about other maps but like everyone says, go to the swamp and bring your self a tickle chicken aka theri and if on mobile the swipe up using the finer gathering attack and it will give loads of rare flower AND plant species x

If you regularly rob beaver dams you will aquire a good amount of flower

On lost colony, you can get a lot of them from the plant pots in the Main city

Get on a Iguandon and go over to some cattails and they will gather tons! Hope this helps!👍

Theri tickle attack+cattails=reliable source of rare flowers

they're found in the swamps, i usually go for the swamps in the southern islets, but they can also spawn in the hidden lake valley.

ark ume: left arrow on attack button

pc: right click

Rare Flower is also useful for taming coward dinos. Like Parasaur, eat the flower it chased you then lead it to trap. Easier than chasing it back to tame.

Rob beaver dams for some rare flowers, just beware that the beavers will attack!
