Tips & Strategies
You will hate it. It’s corse and rough and gets everywhere
“I hate sand. It’s coarse, it’s rough, and it’s irritating.”
-Anakin Skywalker
Fill my inventory with this, drop it, remember I need it, gather it, change my mind, repeat.
I love sand. It’s soft, and smooth, and it never makes a mess.
Look I know I am supposed to add a tip, but why can’t we just pick up dry sand on the beaches?
Can someone actually be helpful and let people know how to gather this resource?
I love how there are like, 400,000,000+ tips just quoting Anakin. XD
- President Loki
i was hoping to find a tip on how to avoid gathering it :/
You can get it during a sandstorm on scorched
A whip is actually a very good way to get sand as you can run around using it and picking up sand of the floor however you will also pick up a lot of stone which can get heavy really quickly.
(I don’t know about other maps but this works well on scorched, hope it helps you get sand so you can make clay or something)
Me and my wife just equip a hatchet to our mantis and run around smacking desert rocks. Easiest way ive found.
I can't even imagine using a hatchet, pickaxe, or whip to collect sand irl, xd
hate to ruin the joke but he says “I don’t like sand” not “I hate sand”
Hit a rock with a stone pick if you are a starter but if you have a metal hatchet then you can hit a rock and you can get more from it if you have an equus then you can use that to store your sand and you have nothing on you and you're not way down by it
on fjordur ive found small piles on the rocky beaches on both the north and south land that both start with the letter V on the left side of the map. (im sorry i forgot what they are called)
Can someone tell me where do I get sand in ark lost island
I would rather have kinetic sand
Use Mantis to get these lil’ rocks
In scorched... a Sandstorm can fill your inventory from just standing still.
Other ways... in the desert area you can pick up/harvest stones and you get sand along with it.
Sand becomes quite a nuisance if you are just trying to collect stone or fllint in a desert area, since it is heavy.
use a magmasaur. You will not regret it.
