The best Dino to use for this is a low level spino that u leveles it up for hp best for this is around 10k their base dmg is low so u can easily tame it

I see Carboneyms at 72 level in early game. It kill me 3-4 times, but now after taming it has 108 level and this is the "Early Tank"

If you decide to atack a dodorex without a range weapon just accept it that youre dead (sorry for typing im Polish)

If you want a dino that tanks Has big damage and its so slow that you can outrun it with no efort t rex is the best option. I know its the third place
