ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
What are some Ascended & Evolved tips? Tips and strategies for ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you're wondering why your armor somehow breaks in 3-5 hits +you die when you're trying to kill a theri by yourself with a melee weapon, its cuz theris deal way more damage through armor than most other creatures.
This also applies to the manta
I dare you to raise one!! They are savage if you got two high lvl parents (about lvl 140ish) and you get imprinting on it. The thing will become an adult with about 230% melee and basically one chomp any bronto!!! But on the down side you loose your job and your girlfriend
When I first saw one of these, I paused the game and looked it up. What I read was so horrific that I went straight back to base and crafted as many heavy turrets as I could and as much ammo as I could, to place around my base (which was in view of the swamp). Then I went on a metal run to get even more turrets. Put up about 12 before I felt safe.
Never actually fought one yet. Too scared 😭
I hate this thing as a beginner.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I CLAIM THIS SECTION 4 CHICKEN NUGGET COUNCIL'S COMPYS MYSTERIES SERIES, anyone who likes it may come here and share theories, suggestions, opinions and we will share updates and hints of the next chapter.

If you're on singleplayer and you see trilobites or ammonites leave your game then put dino or player damage all the way up to max, then join, kill the ammonite/trilobite, use a sword or high damage tame to harvest the corpse, and you will get black pearls in the 2 digits instead of 1 or 2 with 1.0 player or dino damage.
Nobody will know since everybody can edit dino or player damage, and nobody will blame you.
Regardless of what you’re riding,
Don’t.
Just don’t
Along with dodos, the ichthy can also pick up lystros, compys, pegomastaxes, and jerboas, so if a pegomastax steals your stuff, starts running away and you have a ichthyornis on your shoulder, look directly at the pegomastax, then release the ichthy so it will pick up the pegomastax and slowly bite it to death, all while following you. After a while your ichthyornis will kill it, and the corpse will drop raw prime meat.
Please don't underestimate this cave. It is just like the snow and swamp cave as creatures spawned there will be at a level that is MUCH HIGHER than what your difficulty normally allows. On mobile creatures can spawn with levels 300+ 😭😭😭💢
How to tame basically any carnivore with raw prime meat:
Knock out what you want to tame and starve it for the amount of time indicated on Dododex (note: if you're taming royal griffins on mobile, you'll need to starve it for ~60% more time than what Dododex says, and you should use allosaurus kibble instead of raw prime meat instead if you don't wanna spend the entire day on ark and actually want to go outside or interact with people in your home). Then, literally just go find a stego, argy, carno, paracer, sarco, diplo, mammoth, bronto or rex, kill it with a good carnivore, and harvest their bodies with said good carnivore or good sword. Finally, transfer all the raw prime meat to the knocked out dino's inventory and it should tame really fast. The nice thing about this is that you can easily find more stegos, argies, carnos, sarcos, diplos, mammoths, brontos, or rexes since they are common in the places they spawn, so you can always depend on them to spawn nearby for free prime meat.
Liopleurodons can drop these if you are able to kill them in 5 seconds or less, this is due to their teleporting animation which lasts 5 seconds.
If you approach it as a human you have 6 seconds as the liopleurodon is neutral so it has to get mad at you and do its aggression animation first before it is able to do its teleport animation
If you approach it as a tame you have 5 seconds as like any other water giant they are aggressive to all underwater tames
Ways to prove this: (from easiest to hardest)
1. Use a mosa or any other underwater tame with really high melee damage and victim item collection turned on then kill it
2. Lure it to the surface using ammonite rage debuff then put 6-8 c4 on it, then light it ip and it should die instantly, you can then look inside its corpse and screenshot the loot including the megalodon teeth for aura
3. Get a tek rifle then go ham at it until it dies
Note: if you kill the liopleurodon by hand, you also need to collect the loot within the 5 seconds you used to kill the liopleurodon too. So if you killed the liopleurodon in 3 seconds, you only have 2 seconds to grab the loot before the corpse/item cache diseappears
People usually try to put the milk in a fridge for to make it last longer. It doesn’t let you. But I found out that you can put it in a preserving bin.
Fun facts (updated)
-They will always spawn at the lowest possible level, most likely being one but they can spawn at level 5 if your max level is 150
-They can't be bred
-A megalodon saddle can be used on them
-They're the slowest underwater tame in the game and can get easily killed after tame
-They have really bad stamina conservation
-If killed in one shot or if killed before they are able to start their teleporting animation they can drop megalodon teeth, if killed during their teleporting animation their lootable corpse or cache will still disappear very shortly after.
-They are neutral to humans but aggressive to all water tames
-If you punch it once it gets angry then after its aggression animation finishes it swims in circles for 5 seconds then "teleports away" and despawns
-If you are on a tame and it gets mad at you it only teleports away once it is dealt 10% of its max health
Only on old mobile:
-Their tame time can be reset if you chronicle and revive them
-They cost 32 amber to revive
These are stronger than the rex, and tame one of these beasts instead of some old rex. 1. they get an underwater buff when up to mid body in the water and farther. 2. on two legs their attacks are faster and stronger then a rexes but they walk slower, and on four legs they are faster, but not as strong. If a tamed one is following you, they will do this automatically, when riding you must do it on your own. 3. They're easier to tame then a rex! So if you're debating on taming one of these bad boys, or the infamous rex, choose this dude. These beasts need more recongition.
For the people that are writing tips saying they can't carry artifacts:
THAT'S CAUSE YOU'RE ON OLD MOBILE LMAOOOOO
The only ways old mobile players can move artifacts is if they put them in an artifact pedestal (can't get it back lol) or die with it, then randos can loot your body and get a free artifact
On every version but old mobile you can freely move artifacts wherever you want, this includes storage boxes and tames.
FOR BEGINNERS: PLEASE DO NOT BRING A PTERANODON OR ANY OTHER FLYER!!! If you choose to do so anyway you can only walk on land with them, if you choose to fly you will be automatically dismounted or forced into a passenger seat if it has a multi passenger saddle, and you wont be able to mount the flyer/be able to sit in the main seat to control the flyer again, forcing you to whistle land so you can mount it again.
Knock him out by punching him. Give him berries (mejoberries are the best, the purple ones). When tamed, he sometimes lays eggs that are very good for feeding you.
