In ark mobile my sabertooth (female) is named shagreen she gets about 1k of chitin on the caves 😁 so I recommend using a sabertooth imo

Everybody says these can be found in caves. Well, they're right, but they can also be found in Trilobites. Best source. Go to south haven or footpaw and massacre trilos. You'll be encumbered.

I go to viking bay with an metal axe and kill the little water scorpions. I've gotten about 25k chitin before, also gets a good amount of pearls and you can find baslios for oil.

The best mid-game way of getting this item is to get a good Dino(carno is fine) and kill the scorpions with the carno(make sure it has a saddle)and harvest it with the carno or a metal hatchet rinse and repeat until you get 500 of it and then you can make a flyer’s saddle.your welcome 🤗

-get bow

-find cave

-kill everything you see and harvest chitin from bugs

-mission successful

direwolf & sabertooth will do the same thing, just go to the cave(south cave recommended), u will got tons of chitins

Go down to the southern cave and just farm there for lots of chitin. For the most farm with a wolf or saber, got 5k just from one run with a wolf.

If you kill a mantis it will give you loads I'm on 1.5x gather and it gave me around 750

I found a very easy way to get chitin, here's what you'll need:

Gasoline

Chainsaw

And trilogies (those crabs on the beach)

Using a chainsaw gives about 300 each, enjoy 😉

Go on a high lvl mosa and kill every dunkleostious I don't know how to spell but they give very high amount of chitin kill all low lvl and boom you have 300 or 200 chitin from only one dunkly

You could get around 1.8k-2k chitin using a 600 melee bary in the easy cave if you killed everything there (didnt test this on the pc version)

Well known tip is to go to the swamp/redwood cave with a frog and you will collect tons of both cementing paste and chiten
