It hides you from dinosaur so you can sneak up on skittish creatures (equus) or tame aggressive ones (hyenadon)

Ghillie armor, one of the mid-tier armors in ARK, is quite versatile. 32 armor a piece, with decent durability- the main drawback is it requires organic polymer, which is quite scarce. It also allows for camoflauge, which lowers your detection radius for wild creatures, and is potentially useful in PvP.
