83% imprint, 990% attk Theriz, only bite attack. (T)
100% imprint, 1475% attk direwolf. (D)
Kapro: ≈ 85(D), ≈ 80(T) (tested on 3 kapros for D, 3 for T)
Phiomia: 180-190(D), ≈ 172(T) (4 D, 3 T)
Titanoboa: ≈ 125(D), ≈ 125(T) (5 each, yes I hate snakes, y do u ask?)
Paracer: ≈ 75(D), ≈ 211(T) (3 D, 5 T)
As you can see the direwolf harvests hide a little bit better than the theriz with every prey except paracer...when it has about 1.5 times the theriz's melee. Theriz should be given higher stars for hide gathering. Up theriz.
Also fun fact, a 100% imprint, 1047% attk Rex gets outperformed by both with kapro ≈ 40, titanoboa ≈ 75, and paracer ≈ 90. Ran out of phiomias to test with sadly, but you get the idea. Rex is only good because it can kill things faster, not because it gathers more. Use theriz if you want hide is my advice.
More Hide Tips
Set up a turret somewhere where there are lots of big dinos. Have it set to kill everything, then eat some rare flowers to lure creatures into turret range, then harvest their bodies with a chainsaw
The Therizino’s bite attack gives you only hide, no meat.
Tame a breeding pair of sheep, imprint and let sit in cryo for a few days, throw out dump all points into health then slaughter and harvest with chainsaw endless hide.

Giganotosaurus can gather 28 hide from 1 terror bird, while sabertooth can gather 43 hide from 1 terror bird, also explorer notes says it's the best tame for gathering hide. Sabertooth deserves more stars than giga
The C-Attack from the Therizino gives you only hide no meat. And it gives you a lot hide...
Hide: you can never have to much
Ok go to swamp with any decent carnivore then murder every paracer you can find
A saber tooth may be more efficient per creature but how long it takes to kill a creature matters. In my experience T-Rex and murder-bird. (theri) are ‘the best’ at gathering hide in high volumes. You see a herd of mammoths , they’ll tear your saber to shreds, and it takes 40+ seconds to kill a big one. T-Rex just says “yum!” And murders them all.
Guys on mobile it’s better if u use metal hatchet because it’s way faster to get hide
If you have pack of high level direwolves...you can let them enable wandering and set them into aggressive...almost like you have a automatic hide farm
