REAWAKEN CHAP 2: The March

‘Ready The Reapers !’ his voice called out through the stables as riders muzzled and dragged forwards the behemoths , they all kicked and bit until Aeron’s shadow followed , how ever as you see Aeron’s shadow being scary wasn’t a metaphor ; behind him lurked a Reaper King - Hades - it had been selected for one purpose , inflicting pain - Hades was about 20% larger than most , he had a black carapace with a dark blue under bellies - light blue veins pierced the darkness of his chitinous hide his eyes burning the same ice blue , no other reaper dared to meet his gaze , the pupiless eyes rotating slowly searching for weakness . Handlers moved to attention locking salutes as he strode past - Aeron and his monster’s reputation was everywhere

‘ Yessir ‘ men had started to climb up the beasts , using the messor rex’s leg spikes as hand holds , perching on the saddleless backs

‘ March out through the nexus and meet at the portal , ‘ Aeron’s tek suit deployed from his specimen implant covering his short blonde hair and tall frame ‘ Redirect to The Scorched Earth Portal and wait - I’ll go first you follow ½ an hour later ‘

Aeron’s soldiers saluted and shouted their conformations in unison , he had only taken the best of the best with him to the corrupted ark and these were those men for good and bad , Elite unmoving and broken - they had stared down the twisted form of the red zone and now they marched , parading through the streets , over smooth concrete made flawless by roman limestone , citizens gathered at the edges of the pavement , watching and cheering as the soldiers and false king that protected them, moved; reapers heads held high , soldiers marching in their tek - Aeron tilted his helmet to the crowds - he knew he would return , but his troops did not have such the luxury , for all they knew the summon would be their last.
