You have to give it a looted item thats not damaged(prim items work that you get from dinos) then throw the item infront of the shark then you ride it & complete the mini game before feeding its special food. On 2x official it took 4 to tame a 145 & was fairly quick just make sure to have items that arnt damaged cuz the shark won't take the item even if it has one durability lost.
