Relating, the new Chapter 28 was great! I enjoyed the various flashbacks to Nal and Dorack’s time in Snowball. I like how deflective Dorack is with the growing trauma of the ARKtic, and just like most people, isn’t going to be vulnerable so easily. I liked the lore drops of the Explorers, which adds a bit more of a twist and is a fine explanation as to how they are able to travel non-linearly. The only question still is who transported Dorack and Nal to Snowball then, so that could be explored later on. I also like the usage of the Apex creatures from that one mod. The twist that Rod was an Explorer all along is cool, but if he’s an Explorer and can ascend non-linearly, then couldn’t he just transport them all to the Dead Earth so they could destroy the Assassin Heart immediately? And if he can’t transport them to the Dead Earth, why not to Aberration / Fjordur where they could ascend then to the Dead Earth? There should be a definitive reason as to why besides just having to kill all the creatures alphabetically. I also didn’t think it made too much sense that Dorack said it was “great times at ARKtic” if it was such a traumatic experience for him and Nal. More of a continuity error. Final thing is… you really need a name generator or something. I wouldn’t advise having multiple characters with the same name in a story. Alternate universes / different stories is OK, but things just get confusing when you’ve got multiple of the same name or similar name (Rod, Red, Rud, etc). That’s all, I’ll be around for 29.
