The silhouette dove upon the group. Amber and Bloodstaine ducked out of the way. Emerald was hit head on with a spiked skull. He was bleeding and screaming. The figure, now satisfied with defeating its prey, ate Emerald alive. He screamed the entire time. A piece of bloodied bone fell out of the creature's jaw. The others stared in horror, all except for Copper. He was used to blood. They all flew away as fast as they could. Bloodstaine thought, What if we had been faster? Would Emerald still be alive? She cried. Amber said "Hey, it's alright." Bloodstaine knew he was upset, too. He had a tear in his eye and what could only be described as the most defeated expression Bloodstaine had ever seen.
