So basically if you want to tame them it’s rlly easy even though a lot of people say it’s hard but this is how to do it: First, make sure you have raw fish meat in your inventory. Sabertooth salmon will work best but they also eat megapiranhas and coelacanths will also work, but sabertooth salmon is their favorite and will tame the fastest. So once you have the fish meat in your inventory put it in your hot bar and find your otter. They live near rivers so if you can’t find one just keep checking different parts of the river till you find one and you can check different rivers too. Once you find an otter you like, you’ll need to go really close to it and then tap on the fish meat in your hot bar while you’re close to it to feed it you can also feed then soothing balm to make the taming faster you DON’T knock it out to feed it you just go close to it then tap on the meat from your hot bar and then keep feeding it until it’s tamed. Enjoy your new otter! These little guys are so adorable in my opinion they are the cutest things in ark they’re so precious and cute also they regulate your temperature so if you’re too hot you can pick up the otter and it will make you cool and if you’re too cold you can pick it up and it will provide warmth. Also they can wear hats and they look so adorable to equip them with a hat just put it in their inventory and click equip. You can even send them out to hunt for pearls too.
