SpeckledSpots stared as the egg began to crack and move as a leg broke out with light grey talons. She flown away, searching for Skullskimmer, the cheif of the fire wyverns, which was also SpeckledSpot’s brother.

“What, it actually hatched, Speckles?” He gasped. “Where’s JazzClaw then?”

“He went out to hunt, but he’s been gone for hours now..” She narrowed her eyes.

Skullskimmer ran and quickly flown up to the ledge of the nursery, watching the hatchling walk across the floor, stumbling and slipping. SpeckledSpots watched in awe as the hatchling approached her and nuzzled up against her cold, scaly body.

“StormAmber.. welcome home.” SpeckledSpots hummed.

All the wyverns cheered and sent out trails of fire and lightning through the wall of the trench.
