The winter palace was a large white building with blue windows and finely crafted marble. Statues of Feroxes attacking Magmasaurs

Statues of soldiers, angels pouring water into a fountain with a courtyard.

Down in the dungeon things weren’t as nice.

It was connected to the sewer system for a start.

Hans put Winter in one of the cages reserved for low maintenance prisoners.

Hans:Stay here while we evaluate what you’re worth.

In Winter’s cage there was a moth bitten dog bed marked Winter. There was a Bowl of water and a tiny piece of raw steak.

Winter:He-hello? Is anyone here?

???:Who are you?

Winter:I’m Winter

???:I’m Hootie.

Hootie:I heard about you. I’m a snow owl.

Winter:Is it bad here?

Hootie:Yeah, they when you need the bathroom you just do it in the stream, after all, it’s where the sewage goes. Your meat is all raw, but they get to eat cooked steaks with spices and whatever else. When you ask for entertainment they say talk to the prisoners. If you’re dirty they pour soapy water on you.

Winter:Can I get out?

Hootie:I don’t think so, I tried once and all they did was smack me and not feed me for two days.

That night Winter cried herself to sleep.
