Lilly put Kelo down and entered the small cave.

"Lilly, are you okay?" Kelo asked worriedly

"Yeah, my shoulder is just a little sore," Lilly limped to a large, flat rock and carefully climed onto it. Kelo, not wanting to be left alone, climbed into the rock and curled up next to her.

"Lilly."

"Yes Kelo?"

"When will Lucky come home?" Kelo began to tear up.

"I don't know pup, I don't know."

"Kelo, wake up!" Lilly barked.

"What's wrong?!?" Kelo jumped up and started looking around.

"Nothing, you need to eat," Lilly chuckled

"You big meanie! I thought we were in danger!" He snapped.

"If we were in danger I would have picked you up and ran," Lilly nuzzled the small pup and took bite out of the Megalocerous she had killed.

"Hey! That's mine!" Kelo pounced playfully on the large wolf.

"What are you doing in our cave?" A voice echoed.
