The top of the volcano was terribly hot, but the sweltering heat didn't bother the Fire Wyverns. Heatwave sat in the highest room in his palace and stared scornfully at the bigger territories around them. The tropical paradise where the Crystal Wyverns lived, the horrid bog where the Poison Wyverns resided, and over on the far side of the mainland, although he couldn't see it, the frigid tundra where the Ice Wyverns were, and the eerie wasteland the Lightning Wyverns lived on. His territory was the smallest biome on Genesis, but, of course, that was all going to change. Heatwave left his perch and chuckled to himself.

Nova sat gloomily in the corner. If only it wasn't for her ANNOYING classmate Simmer! It wasn't *her* fault she was an Alpha Wyvern and was stronger than her! And she *certainly* didn't have to go running to their teacher when she ever so slightly bruised her! Nova continued to stare at the wall angrily in a time-out. " Hello little Alpha," said an unfamiliar voice with a hiss of malice. Frightened, Nova jumped out of her seat and turned to face a wyvern that didn't look like any kind she knew. "You're going to be very useful to us. Did you know that?"

Before Nova could say that she wasn't, the unfamiliar dragon covered her mouth and injected something into her side. Nova let out a muffled scream, and suddenly began to feel very, *very* sleepy.
