Many people online say to wait to tame until you get a saddle. I say tame as soon as you have a hut to keep it safe. Put it inside or on the roof so it won’t get hurt. This seems dumb since you can’t ride it, but it’s worth it. That way you can check on it and level it up occasionally, so by the time you do have a saddle, your PT has a crap ton of Stan and weight compared to if you had tamed one later.
