Best way to have a lot of Clay is mantis + horse, go to the desert, give mantis axes, jump on it, and start destroying cactus and rocks. (with axe you get lot of sand and cactus sap) when your mantis heve to much weight, dimnount it and give everything into horse that is following you. (Horse get - 80% weight to sand, cactus sap, and clay) Start crafting Clay in horse saddle, jump back to your mantis and repeat this whole proces. Happy gathering:)

Go to the west swamp on ragnarok and you will find clumps of clay near the wooded areas. I prefer to go near by the shrek hut. There it is open and the globs are close together

I feel like the Adobe walls should be a little cheaper with the clay

You can get it from the termite mounds in the crystal centre

Clay is great for early gane trips as most things cannot break it due to the fact they aren't in scorched

After taming two max lvl mantis, and having them die even with an escort of three ravagers while farming, I found an easier/lazier way to get my sand/clay.

1. Tame a doed and a gacha that has clay on the wheel (and select clay)

2. Stick them in a patch of rocks with a dino leash and feeding trough and some ravagers/other guard dinos

3. Set them all to wander

4. Check in every once in a while, get the sand off the doed and drop all the doed’s rocks in front of the gacha, who will then turn them into clay

This has the added benefit of getting you more fun gifts from your gacha as well.

Honestly the doed is not that much slower at gathering sand than the mantis even if you’re just normal farming and it doesn’t die when you breathe on it.

You can use a Morellatops to gather large quantities of cactus sap and then you can transfer it to an Equus and then you can use a metal axe to gather sand and then transfer it to the Equus as well.
