The "dupe" that someone who is definitely not me wrote about 2 years ago won't work on ume or pc as it takes 90 gunpowder and 15 metal to craft 30 simple bullets, which is used along with 30 gunpowder and 10 metal ingots to make 10 shotgun ammo. Grinding gives the same amount of materials, 20 metal ingots and 30 gunpowder, but since crafting ammo is buffed to 💩 on old mobile, it makes it look like a dupe when in reality the grind return seems to align with the grinder's 33% materials return since it costs 120 gunpowder and 25 metal to craft 10 shotgun ammo on ume and pc.

If you are on old mobile it takes 5 simple bullets, 1 metal ingot and 3 gunpowder to craft 5 at a time, but if you are on other versions you need to painstakingly craft each shotgun shell using 3 simple bullets, 1 metal ingot and 3 gunpowder.

You can grind 10 of these in an industrial grinder and get

10 metal ingots, 10 gunpowder and get this: 20 simple bullets even though it takes 10 simple bullets to craft 10 shotgun ammo on mobile

Bonus: You can also grind the 20 simple bullets that the grinder gave you and get 10 additional metal ingots and 20 additional gunpowder

Then you can basically duplicate shotgun ammo

I tried this once and ended up with 10000 shotgun ammo

I appreciate that one user who figured out the use of grinding shotgun ammo
