Don’t run into this on gen 2 they do so much torpo and no damage, i worked on a go-cart and came back and I was barley at half health, I’m still waiting to die as I type this, if you see them on the shore, run, they will take at least half an hour to kill, my max is at 2-3k health, I’m still more than 300 health after around 30 mins, im bored, i just want to die and I still haven’t, just call me “rusted copper” or just “copper” for short, still eating, like damn, I shouldn’t have this much time, this is boring, hope y’all have a good night or day man, I’m upset, and still not dead, not even quick typing, I’m typing slow, it’s so close to me being dead, 5 seconds, finally done

“Because he never joined the team, surprisingly. The coach begged him to after seeing his performance, but he insisted he didn’t have the time to, and he had already signed up for some book club that took a lot of time off his schedule. Shame too, I really wanted to figure out his technique…”

“Ah, what a bummer to abandon sports for some lousy books. Now THAT’s a wimp,” the stranger added, “Reminds me of this giant seven-foot kid, Alan. Lot of people wanted him to join the football team, he had lots of potential. But he chickened out.”

The silence washed over the room again, and Loki could hear the wind whistling outside again.

“You know what’s funny?” Loki laughed, “I never got your name.”

“What? Really?” the stranger groaned, “Aw man. Well I guess I should tell you, huh? It’s Maddox. Some people like to call me the Manticore, but I’d prefer it if you called me by my real name. Maddox. Has a better ring to it.”

“Maddox… That’s a cool name,” Loki said, “And so is that nickname. How’d you get it?”

“Ehhh, I just got it from my performance in football. Strength of an elephant, speed of a cheetah, and the cunning of a wolf, or something dumb like that.”

“I think you’re forgetting one more thing, Maddox.”

“And what would that be, Loki?”

“The heart of a dog,” Loki answered, thumping his chest with his fist. Maddox let out a soft chuckle. A few seconds later, and he let out a yawn, “Alright I’m sleepy. You’ve kept me up long enough. See you in the mornin’, Loki.”

“See you in the morning.”

Loki closed his eyes, his mind at rest.

He could rest easy knowing that at least one more person was on his side.

Chapter 45: Manticore

Part 1/2

Creak. Creaaak.

“Ugh. It’s so darn stanky in here,” Loki thought as he gagged. He found himself twisting and turning in bed, the bed below his creaking and turning as he did. The house that had burned down had unfortunately been a living quarters, and Mr. Mo had the very pleasant idea to have everyone stay in the other living quarter as they waited for reconstruction of the house.

Now the air was like smog. The snoring from all corners of the house didn’t really help either. Loki didn’t think he would hate heat after being in the cold for so long, but this situation definitely proved him wrong.

Loki turned again. Creak. Even with a fluffed pillow and a nice mattress (designed by Dr. Aston himself), it felt so uncomfortable. Loki hated it. He wanted to be outside, sleeping under the stars, enjoying the view and feeling the wind across his face. But Mr. Mo had warned him that he’d freeze his fingers off. Loki didn’t want his fingers to be frozen off. That wouldn’t be very nice.

“Something on your mind up there?” the person on the bottom bunk asked politely, “Or are both sides of your pillow just really warm?”

Loki blinked his eyes, adjusting himself so his back was rested on the mattress and his eyes were looking at the ceiling.

“Some people just don’t know personal hygiene.”

The person below let out a hearty laugh, shaking the bunk bed some more.

“Ah ha ha, you’re so right. That may be my lackeys. Spending too much time practicing for football back home they forget all about showering. I try to remind them, but it always goes in one ear and out the other with those guys. They aren’t very bright.”

“Oh is that so?” Loki said, as he could feel his face turning green in disgust.

There was a pause in the conversation.

“Loki, right?”

Loki frowned. Soon he’d be shamed for his close loyalty to Mr. Mo.

“Yeah. Loki.”

“Hm. Awesome. I’ve seen you with Mr. Mo before, going out on a lot of missions. He does take an appreciation to you I can tell. That’s pretty cool.”

Loki smiled, his head moving to the side to look down at the stone floor.

“Really?”

“Yeah really. Mr. Mo’s a great guy so that must mean you’re a good guy.”

“Heh. Thanks. Thanks a lot.”

Loki shifted in his bed, “Well what about you stranger? What’s your name?”

“Ha! Someone who doesn’t know me!” the stranger laughed, “That’s new. You must not have been into sports at Terran High. I’m the varsity football team’s quarterback.”

“Is that supposed to be impressive?” Loki snorted, “Sorry. Don’t know anything about football.”

“Yeah, it is,” the stranger replied, “He calls all the shots, the quarterback. In a way he’s like the team captain, but out on the field. Leader of offense, they play a really important role. I’ll tell ‘ya right now it’s so important that if you’re a good quarterback, it’s pretty darn easy to get into college.”

“Really?”

“Yeah really. Most private universities have their own set of standards on who they want on their side. Some prestigious university out east called ‘Rockwell’s Keep’ wanted to recruit me for free. I couldn’t pass it up.”

He let out a sigh.

“Too bad we’re here instead of where we should be. But what about you? Play any sports?”

“Tsk, yeah. I was on Varsity Tennis. Team captain, if you’ll believe it. Third best in Class of 2027.”

“Tennis huh?” he said with wonder, “They say that’s a wimp’s sport.”

“Yeah I know, but it’s fun and all that matters to me.”

“I don’t think it’s a wimp’s sport, Loki. Requires lots of stamina. And if you can run for hours on end with no breaks, then you’re not a wimp. Say, what do you mean by third best if you’re team captain?”

“Well for starters I’m sure you know the valedictorian was Varsity Tennis girl’s team’s team captain,” Loki answered truthfully, “She’s second best.”

“The nerd? Psh, well that’s expected. But who’s THE best?”

“I don’t know his name.”

“What?! How do you not know his name if he’s the best?”

“Man I don’t know! It’s really forgettable- I think it started with a B?” Loki said, “Well, all I know is he beat me AND Aurora badly. He had me running like no tomorrow and managed to catch Aurora off-guard with his techniques. It was like none we’d ever seen before, our school definitely didn’t train him. I think he was new too. Recently appeared at the beginning of senior year.”

“Huh. So if he’s that good how come he’s not captain?”

Chapter twenty four.

The youth thing happened to be one of those things where couples go together in canoes on the lake. Arianna and Cole sat in their boat, floating along the river. James watched them out of the corner of his eye while talking to Jane. “I mean imagine what would happen if we fell in the lake.” Jane said. James nodded, distracted. For some reason he couldn’t stop staring at Cole and Arianna. Something pierced his heart. Jealousy.

“So Cole, what do you plan to do when you get older and move from your parents house?” Arianna asked. Cole grinned. “We’ll there is this girl that I want to spend my future with…” Suddenly their boat lurched and it overturned. Cole plunged underwater. He struggled to the surface then gasped for air. *splash!* A splash sounded nearby. Where was Arianna? Cole splashed around looking for Arianna. “Arianna? Arianna?” Cole called. Suddenly James head surfaced from underwater, holding an unconscious Arianna. “She hit her head on the rocks!” James called. “I have to get her to shore!” James swam while holding Arianna. Cole followed. Once they reached shore James set Arianna gently on the sand. He shook Arianna gingerly.

Arianna’s eyes flickered and she stared into a man’s deep brown eyes. “Arianna?” The man asked, his voice gentle with concern. “James?” She asked wearily. James nodded. “She’s okay.” James told Cole who was behind him. “I’m cold-and wet.” Arianna said, her teeth chattering violently. James grabbed his jacket from the shore(he had left it behind, so it was dry and warm and not wet and cold). James wrapped it around her then stood. “Well, I better get Jane. Y’all…catch up.” He told Cole and Arianna. He began to walk away and Arianna thought she saw a flicker of sadness in his eyes. “Are you okay?” Cole asked. Arianna forced a smile. “I’ll be alright.” Sadness filled her heart but she didn’t know why.

My Iguanodon's sad fate :(

So, I was out gathering oil in Ragnarok right? So I'm minding my buisness, and three of these guys show up to tell me, "SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR KNEECAPS" I don't mind it to much and get my Iguanodon. We go over and I try to kill them, BUT THESE GUYS HAVE TO MAKE YOU SLEEPY!!! They knocked out my Iguanodon, I try to help him but die, (since I lost my stuff.) And the saddest thing of all I had to see, "Your Orange Popsicle - Lvl 42 (Iguanodon) was killed!"

The gigantopithicus packed up their stuff and the group headed back to the oasis. on the way They found Bones, when Caesar asked if he was alright he nodded and said somewhat angrily; “I’ll be fine, just need to bust some heads.” When they reached the oasis the desert creatures were hard at work filling large buckets with water and fixing them to catapults, “so those are war buckets.” Jaxz said. “Yup! They spray water everywhere refreshing our troops and weakening the magmasaurs, pretty nifty if I do say so myself!” The jerboa said excitedly. “Who invented them?” Caesar asked. “The last human, we call him “‘the wanderer’” he built them so we could defend ourselves from the magmasaurs.” The jerboa replied. “How did a human teach you how to use them? Don’t they speak gibberish?” Jaxz asked. “It took a wile but we learned.” The jerboa replied. “Why do the magmasaurs hate everyone and why are the humans extinct except the wanderer on this ark?” Caesar asked. “The humans went extinct because of the magmasaurs, and I don’t know why they hate everyone, all they ever say is “‘DIE, DESTURBERS”’ ” she said. Then they heard a horrible sound it was like a shriek mixed with metal scraping on metal. “They’re here!” The hyenadon yelled from the other side of the oasis. “Everyone grab a bucket!” The jerboa said. “Remember! If we cool them enough they’re as good as statues!” The hyenadon said. Caesar and the gigantopithicus all grabbed buckets and filled them Jaxz got two and filled them and Bones picked up one of the larger ones meant for the catapults in his mouth. “What is that..” a vulture said gesturing to Bones. “Better question, What is that.” A lymantera replied pointing to Jaxz. “That’s a frog, and a badger im a mesopithicus and those guys over there are lemurs.” Caesar replied. “Huh never saw any of those before.” The vulture said. “So… I see you made it in one peice..”the vulture they met earlier said to Caesar. “Ya no thanks to you, you could’ve said something about the FASOLASUCHUS!” Caesar said. “Oh did I forget to mention that” the vulture (was his name jeffff?) replied with a chuckle. Caesar glared at him and ran over to the others.

The cave was about five bones lengths across in both directions and was more-or-less circular The oasis was in the center and went near the right bottom corner of the cave, the entrance the group came from was at the left bottom corner the north side had many medium sized gaps in it, that is where the magmasaurs were getting in. The first battalion of magmasaurs rushed in almost immediately getting hit by gallons of water from the war buckets and getting cooled into statues, but more seeped in Jaxz bombarded them from above and Bones shoveled large amounts of water out of the oasis and was soaking the magmasaurs, the other desert creatures along with the apes did what they could but it took time to fill the buckets so some resorted to holding the line in claw to claw combat. The room was littered with cooled magmasaurs and bodies, but they wouldn’t stop coming. “Everyone get in the oasis! We’ll hold our ground there!” The hyenadon commanded. The creatures stopped fighting and ran into the shallow water, this was a good tactic because the magmasaurs wouldn’t dare getting any closer and they could fill the buckets faster the new issue wa story couldn’t use the war buckets anymore, and the magmasaurs could still shoot fireballs at the creatures, There were just too many, the battle was lost. Then they heard another metallic shriek, and teh magmasaurs stopped. A large magmasaur strolled into the cave, her stone body was guilded with gold and jewels and her lava was brighter than the other magmasaurs. “You are beaten desturbers.. submit or perish.” She said. “Why do you attack these people what did they do to you!” Caesar said. “W h o. S a i d. T h a t..” she said threateningly. “I did. Answer the question you glorified volcano!” Caesar said. “What are you doing!” The hyenadon said in a harsh whisper. Caesar stepped into view of the magmasaur, “HAH a puny human dares defy me! The magmasaur matriarch! You must be a fool, don’t you know I ended your kind. As I will all desturbers..” she said. “I’m no human.” Caesar said. The Queen looked at him angrily “that w h a t. are y o u.”

I have a phobia of ark oceans (don’t ask why). So this is what happened:

Me: I need oil

Friend: go kill some of the lobster things

Me: where are they

Friend: at the bottom of the ocean

Me:oh ok

You got killed by mosa lev 17

And that is why I go to the ice oil rocks to get my oil now

I was playing with my friend in Viking bay where we made this sick raft base. We ignored my instinct of making a permanent base away from the beach to get more metal instead. Things went well until the Eurypterids came... they ambushed us in a pack of 3. We had 3 sabers a carno, raptor , 2 ptéranodons and 2 Archie’s and a tek para named Jonny The things knocked out our Pteranadons and Jonny underwater. They drowned despite feeding them stims. Our Archie’s also disappeared. We fired 4 rifle shots at sunset in rememberance.
