Tips & Strategies
Tip if your not able to turn off their healing skill
1: Throw off/on saddle, mount, and right click
2: Single player log in/out
3: Tranq it down or feed narc.
Healing sometimes still gets triggered for me on ASA even set on passive and ignoring group commands.
Option 3 still my go to sometimes.
Jelly Bean here👋
In the dossier these are given the nickname “Hellpig”. That is VERY true.
Let’s be honest there are three reason we are all here either to...
Learn how to tame it
Find where it spawns
Or “hypothetical” because you all your dinos including a defenceless little baby jerboa named Joe died to these devil - spawns.
One up one prayer for Hoptimis prime (Kangaroo) Jack and Jill (pair of morellatops) and most importantly...Joe the Jerboa.
JellyBean out ✌️
Here are 3 tips to maximize heal usage for daeodons:
1: If a daeodon runs out of food, don't force feed it until it's back at full. Instead, leave render distance then go back, and the daeodon will be fully fed so long as it had enough food.
2: Cook any meat with an Industrial Grill before feeding it to a daeodon. Cooked meat give more food, so you won't waste as much meat if it's cooked before eaten.
3: Most medium to large water creatures, such as Manta, Ichthyo, and Megalodon, give rediculous amounts of meat compared to other creatures, use this to your advantage when looking for food for your Daeodon.
Daedons or pumba as i call them are op. Rexs raptors baryonyx allos and carnos are no match for 1 of these. I have 3. One on each of the realms in fjordur and have yet to lose one of them. Great for exploring and can be used as a pack mule. Snow owls heal better than these so i use them as self healing tanks
Found in ice biome on center island extinction and raganok are a endgame tame since these guys are 100000% needed for bosses (especially the dragon) but be warned I've seen them hunt in packs lately so be careful I hope this help <3
If you're new and see one RUN!!!!!!
To knock bola and shoot in the head with tranqs works very well
These are only found in dungeons! DO NOT TRY TO FIND THEM OUTSIDE OF DUNGEON ON MOBILE AS YOU WILL NOT FIND THEM!!!!
Oh guys I forgot to mention you can pump oxygen if you want to use them on aquatics just in case.
For people new to computer, Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo switch who want to know how to tame this bacon boi. You just need to find a group, kill the others, and use a argentavis to bring it into a trap OR, you get somewhere where the daeodon can’t to tranq it. Feed it, put the saddle on it, and boom! You got a daeodon 😃
If your raising a wyvern and you don’t have milk but you have a tamed daeodon set the daeodon to passive healing And boom no using milk cuz it’s healing the wyvern
A Yutyrannus is by far one of the best ways to deal with these guys. You can easily scare these guys away from you. It also seems that when they are scared they can't activate their heal ability which makes it easier to pick them off. Another good method is to use a shotgun. It deals huge enough bursts of damage that they can be close to death in a few shots, good for if they show up unexpectedly while you're on your own.
During a boss fight:(Ref. Difficulty Level is 0.2)
If your rexes are above 10k health and have 280% damage, they are able to crush every boss before they sacrifice.
I repeated the boss fight many times.Yuty and Daedon had 50% of chance to die,and not one rex died.No rifle or rockets, pure tames fight.
They appear in packs of three around the entire snow biomie.
Find an isolated pack away from wolfs, Carnos or Yutyrannus and pick the, of with a powerful gun, note that they don’t heal when at a decent range from the player, once they are about two strides from you they will start to heal themselves.
Provided with a crap ton of food, daeodons can be easy to tame because of the food drain. Also you don't have to worry too much about killing them while knocking them out as they use their food stat to heal.
These things are super useful if you want a wyvern but don’t want to do the whole process of getting a wyvern, you turn on passive healing and when the baby wyvern hatches you don’t have to give it wyvern milk but just let the daedon keep healing the baby. Super useful and easy
