About brachiosaurus:

- You can find these in places like jungles and grasslands

- Their taming method is pretty unique, so im gonna explain it in detail:

1. Aggro the brachio

2. Make it go into its bipedal stance

3. Then shoot it in the legs(recommend pumps or snipers)

4. Repeat untill the brachio falls unconscious

5. Feed it with berries/veggies/kibbles

Note- their torpor falls VERY QUICKLY, so feed them often with narcotics

- Once tamed, these behemoths can be used both as a war machines, and a resource harvesters!

- Sadly, even though they are gigantic, they dont have a platform saddle:(

Brachiosaurus are an unconventional KO tame.

Knocking one out requires a bit of patience and lots of bullets of any kind. It’s also recommended to clear out rocks and trees from the area for a clear shot to their hind legs.

To KO a Brachi

1. Shoot at the Brachiosaurus with arrows from a bow or crossbow, as this deals a tiny amount of damage, to draw their aggression

2. Keep running away, occasionally shooting more arrows to keep it aggro’d, until it rears up on its hind legs

3. When on its hind legs, you have to shoot its back legs below their knees with any bullet-based weapon (shotguns or fabricated sniper rifles recommended) While in this state, it is faster than a player, and will perform a devastating mega stomp attack if it catches up to you. Try to keep to its sides as it has a poor turning circle.

4. Repeat the process until it is knocked out. Shooting the brachiosaurus accidentally after it is knocked out shouldn’t decrease taming effectiveness, but care should still be taken to avoid overly damaging it. When the brachi is not in its standing state, and when you hit it with bullets outside of its hind leg area, it takes much more damage and could be killed.

ADDITIONAL TIPS

Use shotguns for the majority of the taming process but use a sniper rifle for the last bit of torpor. There is a window of time where you can run up to the brachi as it leaves its bipedal stance and use a magnifying glass to check its torpor levels. This will help avoid accidentally killing or overly damaging your brachio

If the brachiosaurus is looking injured, dragging corpses of creatures nearby and allowing it to perform its mega stomp attack is a quick way to heal it

Brachiosaurus prefer Exceptional (gold) Kibble and don’t like Mejoberries as much as other herbivores. Feed them only kibble or veggies when possible

You guys can just use a velonasaur to shoot it legs when it’s in its bipedal stance. It does a butt ton of torpor. Creature is from ark additions by garuga

People don’t talk enough about how goated these are for hide. Breed them, let them mature, the slaughter the ones you don’t want and harvest with a chainsaw. Way more hide than Ovis and much easier to find in ASA. I get around 12-14,000 hide per brachi with this method.

How to tame:

1. Aggro the brachi

2. Get it into bipedal stance

3. Shoot it with preferably snipers in the legs until it falls over

4. Feed it exceptional kibble (yellow) and LOTS of narcotics

5. Go around and one tap your friends and their bases

Do not use a brachiosaurus as a sacrifice for a rhyniognatha in ASA. The rhyniognatha juvenile will not pop out of the brachiosaurus when the timer finishes.

Destroy its knee caps and that will knock it out

If you are on the island get them stuck on green ob safest tame ever

MAKE SURE to bring LOTS of Narcotics/berries. Id recommend taming with kibble and DONT use a shotgun at the end. It can ruin the taming effectiveness! Hope this helps!

A couple things to mention:

1. This guy cannot be knocked out by simply shooting him with tranqs. You need to get him to stand up on his hind legs. The best way to do that is to punch him (and keep punching him every now and then to maintain agro as he loses it fast, don't shoot him to do this as youd just end up killing him despite his high HP. Once he is on his hind legs keep your distance and shoot his Hind legs to deal torpor (as long as he does this he'll take reduced damage to them) The higher the damage you deal the more Torpor you do. The best weapon to do this is the Fabricated Sniper, Fabricated Pistol or Assault Rifle as it lets you space your hits properly to avoid hits when he is in his knockout animation (which has him sway slightly and then fall over on his sides, it's quite hard to tell when the torpor is full so wait a 1-3 Seconds in between shots.)

2. He loses torpor very fast when he goes back down to walk normal again. So try getting him into Bipedal stance again as fast as possible.

3. Once he's out be aware of Torpor drain roughly equal to a Giga

4. He eats Exceptional Kibble and above, Berries and Crops however Kibble is the only real way to tame him as he only gets about 0.1-0.5% taming progress from Berries and crops and you'll go through your entire Narcotics supply trying to keep him down if you go for them.

Brachiosaurus cannot swim it will just sink to the ground. If the water is shallow enough for it to stand it won’t sink

Use yellow kibble to tame it. After knock down.

If it stands up on it’s hind legs, be sure to get the hell out of dodge. On 1x servers it can do up to 1,600 damage when it slams itself down.

They'rr one of the best wood gatherers on the island

Can someone help I keep killing it or getting it to low before I knock it out (yes I’m only hitting the knees and not it’s body) should I use a gun that does less damage?

1) Get a decent gear & weapon(s) (Fab sniper/Longneck/AR/Pump Shotgun are best) with high damage output. Recommend Mastercraft or Ascendent for faster taming.

2) Get a high HP tame. (Must be able to shoot off the back)

3) Once located, use your mount to attack it once to gain aggro. You will occasionally need to let it hit your mount to continue the aggro.

4) Stay at a safe distance while waiting patiently for it to stand on its hind legs.

5) While mounted, use your weapons to shoot it in its hind legs. (NOTE: Hit below the knee for max torpor effect. The higher damage weapon = higher torpor output.)

6) Rinse & repeat each step until the Brachi is unconscious. Then proceed to feed it Excetional Kibble (yellow) or Longrass. (NOTE: Do NOT use berries or you will need absurd amount of Narcotics & taming efficiency will be at minimum)

Use this Creature for Gathering Everything! Just take it Out to some Woods, a Rock Quarry or Plains. Also since the Brachiosaurus Usually has Lots of weight it can be used to move Materials across Plains. Eggs can used to make Exceptional Kibble!

Everyone seems to have forgotten this beasts combat abilities. Its main attack is equivalent to that of a Titano’s attack, like the Titano the Brachi can use its back legs to attack flanking dinos. Its power lies in its special attacks, it’s Hind-Leg Smash has the potential to decimate hordes of Carnos and turn stone walls into pebbles! Coupled with its Fear Roar and its health this mount makes for an excellent vanguard in an open battle or a terrifying tank and battering ram in a siege. Despite not having a platform saddle it can still ‘carry’ players who stand on its rather flat back, just hold on!

On the island, I found four spread apart in the plains south of the Green Obelisk. This was the only place I have seen them spawn after three wild dino wipes.
