For early levels on the island just go to the lower south cave and in the water there will be a decent amount of obsidian. Just bring a tame that can kill piranhas.

When collecting obsidian use just a metal pick axe and archy. they cut the weight when you carry it in their pocket.

A good way to move obsidian is by crafting pedestals and then breaking them it makes 80 kilos of obsidian in 4 kilos.

On ragnarok, on the beach just past the burnt area, go into the water and dive down into what looks like a wyvern trench, use a dunkleo, there's tons of it on the bottom of the ravine. I normally get about 30k on normal rates.

Use a imprinted top stat mantis with max picks and you can get 100+per node put weight up a wee bit but the rest melee make sure you bring a high weight argy

On mobile use a doedic it will give u lot of obsidian but there is a bug that obsidians on volcano and snow that a doedic only gives u stone only so on those places use the anky

You need to be on lvl 27 because PT saddle and go to the Red woods of the volcano for obsidian and metal.

When you are gathering obsidian, it is quite heavy, and the Argy's weight reduction isn't enough, don't worry, as you can make a Artifact Pedestal to compact 80kg of obsidian into a 4kg structure in your argy saddle

Best way to farm this on mobile is with a doedic on the mountain nest to the volcano, there is ton of obsidian there and also the doedic cant harvest other obsidian nodes for some reason (MOBILE ONLY)

On the Island on The Volcano the Doedic can Somehow pick up Obsidian
