How do you not know how to get wood?

Okay so Stego hardened plates is pretty good. I'm currently using my lvl.40 Stego and i get 46 or so wood with one swing on one tree he has 202.2 Melee idk if that effects anything but i haven't put a lvl in his Melee so Stego good but get the others like mammoth or something as soom as possible. Hardened Stego is good but has no weight reduction. Which kinda sucks. Also i just checked again with my lvl.40 stego he actually gathers 42-74 per tree & swipe.

I think a metal hatchet is the best for getting wood because every single time I mine a tree with a metal hatchet I get too heavy so I think it should be number one.

It harvests just as good as beaver dont listen to ratings, plus its carnivore so easier to heal with food, and easier to feed depending on who are. And they have torpor attack

According to Ḍododex the metal hatchet is better at harvesting wood than a theri! What?!?! I don't understand! How is that?! No matter if others think that, I DONT THINK THAT AT ALL!!! 1.You are likely to have less weight the the big tickle chicken. 2. They harvest SOO much more wood than the metal hatchet, one time in Ark ascended, I smacked a tree with a theri and got 100 some wood, and guess what? The tree I smacked up was a beach tree that was on the island map! And smacking beach trees with a metal hatchet gives very little wood and then the tree breaks. And even if you try smacking a bigger tree like a redwood tree with a metal hatchet trying to get more wood than a theri, you fail! Because the bigger the tree the more wood a theri will get!
