A tigers lore

Many years had passed, in human years I was about five. Silk had acted as my mother. About once a week they would knock me out and take me to that table again as they had done many times, each time they shot her with more and more darts, the pain was unbearable.

Today they shot me with 5 darts and i still hadn’t passed out, so they did two more. I was getting tired of it, and by the second one, I lashed out, I lost control. My eyes glowed red and I changed. I turned into something called a Shadowmane and banged into the glass, over and over again, it wouldn’t break, they shot me until I passed out.

I woke up later, back to normal, I was a cat again, my eyes where back to there normal green color. Silk walked into the room, she coughed. I had noticed that Silk had been coughing a lot, she was also thinner, and often very tired. Silk slowly walked toward me.

(Silk) Winter…

Silk coughed again

“What? What’s wrong?”

(Silk) I-I want you to know that I I’ve always loved you…

She coughed three more times

“W-why are you talking like that?!”

(Silk) you…you need to get out of this place! There going to do bad things to you! There going to send you to your death! You have to leave!

Silk burst into a coughing fit and collapsed. I dragged her by the scruff to the small door. I-I couldn’t help her, she was sick, but the humans could. I walked to the other side of the room and watched as the door opened and a human hand pulled her through, then the door closed again.

The next day I woke up to the humans loud noises, I looked up at the window. There where two scientist, one was carrying a black trash bag, I wondered what was inside. Just then my fur melted into white feathers with black tips, my legs became scaly, my front legs turned to wings, I was now a Snow Owl. Snow owls have the ability to see heat signatures, I wasn’t sure why I had turned into this, but I used the heat vision to see what was in the bag. It was a cat, only a little bit of heat remained, it was not breathing, and that’s when I noticed it.
