They will spawn in packs of 6 in the caverns of lost faith, packs of 2 in the caverns of lost hope (high levelled), and can spawn in packs of 2 up to 6 anywhere else in the ocean and can be fed (as long as they're not in a cave) even when they're angry and attacking you and your tame.

They can also follow you to the surface since they have no depth limit so if you can't escape them fast enough they can jump your tame after you dismount from it thinking that you're safe.
