These are a thatch structure so if you punch it then it produces a thatch sound and reflects the damage you dealt back multiplied by your weapon/tame's damage multiplier to thatch as a number visible on your screen

For example if you attack it with a tame that does 30 damage but has a 5x multiplier to thatch structures it will reflect back 175 as a number.

This can be helpful for preperation to raid a beehive as the damage your tame can do to a training dummy is the same it can do against beehives.
