For my personal opinion the spino is the BEST starter tame I found a lv 54 spino near my base and easily trapped it using a large bear trap and 4 dino gate ways it has absolutely carried me through out my play through until I got a lv 112 one I was able to kill EVERY THING I mean high level rexes spinos or alphas in a matter of seconds and I was able to traverse the whole island extremely rapidly so please TRY to tame one it is REALLY useful in travel fighting and mostly anything .thanks .
