Darkest Day Chapter Two: Rising Fire. ==2 years later== A black Wyvern flew across the desert, searching for the cave where her friends were taking refuge. Wasn’t it under a tree? In her talons she held a titanboa, and in her jaws a small furry creature. A griffin sprung out in front of her and she narrowly evaded him. “Sfupid griffin.” Murderfang muttered as she found their hiding spot. “Who’s there?” Someone called out. “Murderfang, dummy!” She responded, and landed. The red Wyvern peered at the food. “Food’s burnt. Again.” Firebreath growled. “Not my fault. Claws just got excited, I suppose.” “Whenever you hunt the food’s always burnt, Murderfang.” “Still not my fault.” She growled and stalked into the cave. The Wyverns were piled on top of each other, all except for Sui. The Voidwyrm was curled next to the far end of the cave, looking longingly at the pile but making no movements as to join. Murderfang set the titanboa next to the Wyverns and joined the silver Wyvern. “How’s your day been?” “Fine, yours?” “Exhausting but used to constantly flying. Caught another furball for you.” “Thanks, Murderfang.” The blood Wyvern settled for her favorite sleeping position and drifted into a deep sleep… Suddenly she was in a forest. She wandered into the forest, searching for something she’d never seen. Cold talons dragged her into the trees, then covered her eyes. “…you've come again… this time, there’s no escaping me…” Searing pain sliced through her back, burning through her flame-resistant scales. Murderfang woke up, drenched in sweat. She quickly and quietly got up, went outside, spread her wings and took flight. “This is gonna be a long night…” She muttered.
