Chapter 3: This Is Life

Petit took out the metal ingots and molded them into coins. He left with a bison-skin bag and went to the market in his village of Skalymandra. He went with Mr. Tomas, who was selling food for Spott.

"Petit, you're in serious trouble. Draco just arrived and he's not happy," said Tomas, giving the food to Petit. Petit was nervous and scared. He ran as fast as he could so his father wouldn't see him.

Spott hid in the bag, knowing what would happen. Just as he was about to open the door to his house, a hand grabbed his clothes. It was Draco, his father.

"Petit, what have I told you about walking around with that thing? That can't be your animal. Although I have a surprise for you," Draco said, less angry than he expected. "Um, hi, dad. Um, I wasn't with that animal... I just want to be like you. What's the surprise?"

"Tomorrow, my guards will introduce you to your new animal so you can transform."

Petit trembled inside, but if he didn't, there would be consequences.
