Chapter 1

Next chapter in Basilisk

I wake up, and look at my surroundings. “Wait! This isn’t my cozy bed!” I exclaim aloud. I look around, and indeed it is not my bedroom. It is actually a beach of some sorts, with lush vegetation farther inland. “This can’t be real!” I shout again. I punch my arm twice. Nope, definitely not a dream. Anyway, as I look around, I see a weird Rhombus-like piece of metal sticking out of my arm. I proceed to scratch it with all my being, but it doesn’t come off. I even bash my wrist into a nearby rock. Still nothing. Well, I can learn about that another time. So I run down the beach, collecting rocks, berries, and this sort of fiber from the berry bushes. And in the distance, I see…dinosaurs? Yep, those are dinosaurs, but what is that chicken looking thing. “What is that?” I mumble curiously, and walk towards it. It turns, squawks at me, and waddles off. “Ok. That was certainly strange” I say. I then grab a few branches off a nearby tree, and hear more squawking. Except this is terrified squawking. I look to see the bird getting attacked by a dino with frills. I think I know what that is, but I’m not too sure. “Hey, leave that little guy alone!” I yell angrily. The dino turns away from the bird, and charges at me. It angles its head back, and spits at me! But I merely dodge the spit, and swing my branch at it. I hit it in the side, and it screeches painfully, but I was merciless. I continued hitting the dino, until I heard no more screeches. I looked down, and it was lying there, motionless.
