The morning started bright and early as the raptors cawed. Sarah had been in the food quarters for at least an hour. Dylan walked in and broke the silence “ How ya doin?” She was startled “oh it’s you” “sorry I was just pondering” “I, had a dream last night”. “About what” Dylan asked. “About home” “it was all great in 2042 just hanging out with Valerie” “ But then the world above us seemed to shift, and the island started growing out of the ground” “A barrier separated me from Valerie” “I miss her”. Dylan sympathized “ I miss my mom, she’s the only one I have left” “well besides Nightime, my cat” “We’ll get out of here and find everything we missed” “ I promise”. Dylan changed the subject “ Well I’m gonna be heading to the swamp now soo…” “Wait!” Sarah blurted “ can I come with?”

As they walked outside they were greeted by Mr Yen “ Good day!” He tapped his implant and pulled up that strange menu again. He tossed down a strange ball of energy. Dylan picked it up and felt an extremely heavy surge of weight. He tapped his implant and saw a saddle. “NIGHTWIND!” Nightwind quickly scampered out of his nap. As he tapped the saddle icon it materialized in front of him. Nightwind got down on all fours and Dylan equipped the saddle. Nightwind spun around in joy and urged Dylan on.

“Well somebody certainly wants to be ridden” Mr Yen added “but you’ll need him if you are going alone “ He’s not” Sarah interrupted. Mr Yen warned her “It’s too dangerous on foot!” “She can ride with me” Dylan protested. She nodded and they both climbed on. “Mr Yen joked “ well don’t leave without knowing what your looking for!” He quickly switched to a serious tone “ you need to find kill and harvest a medium sized crocodile” “ the giant snails frogs salamanders and elephant things are safe” “ the Dino’s scorpions and snakes are dangerous” “ watch out for giant leeches” “ but there are three things you need to watch out for the most “ “ the little crocodiles the gigantic ones and the gigantic bug” “those are deadly” they all nodded as the two set off.
