Once I was flying around on my Argy in search of an otter because my old one was killed by piranhas, and found one of these guys. I said "why not" and decided to tame it after I had killed anything dangerous nearby. I knocked out pretty quickly and then I realized I didn't have fish meat on me so I had to swim over to the ocean, as it was nearby, and I got the meat that I needed. I hadn't known at the time that you could track the location of your tames in progress, so I went into the clearing that I though my unconscious Baryonyx was in, but I couldn't find it, and instead got attacked by a Carno. I was shaking irl, so whenever I tried to mount my Argy, because I dismounted it to look for my Bary, I kept on dismounting. Luckily, with barely enough health, and with both of us having broken bones, I escaped on my Argy and went back home. I though that I would have to suffice without a Bary, but then I discovered the feature where you can track the location of your tames in progress, so I found my Bary, tamed it, and then walked it home. On my way, I ran into another Carno and decided that I would go around it and kill it later because it was dangerously close to my base, but it decided to chase us. My Bary got tangled up with it so I helped it with my Argy. After it was killed, I landed and checked on my Bary, which was nearly dead (it was level 4). I headed back to camp and named her Bamboo because she was green with a tan-ish underbelly. To this day I have never forgotten how heroic I view my Bary, and we continue to have adventures together, killing any Carno we see.
