Shadow woke up in a dark room. Actually, not even a room—a dinner plate. Who would want to eat a cute little gecko that glows? Whatever kidnapped him.

“Hey, hello??” Shadow bellowed. No response. The top covering the plate was lifted, a burst of light shot him in the face. Then, a figure was there~A beak, face of a hawk, and a pleased expression. Shadow tried on his adorable face to coo the creature into not eating him. But instead, it seized him with its talons and lifted him off the plate, eyeing him. Then, the creature began to speak. “What are you?” The first thought that came to mind was ‘lethal’. “Lethal” Shadow replied, trying to sound menacing and convincing. “Really?” said the creature. “Uh, yeah. I’m also NOT tasty. Do you mind putting me down?” “Who said you tasted good?” Shadow got a good look at its body; wings, lion tail, talons, hawk-like face……..”What are you?” asked the Glowtail. “A Griffin,” replied the creature. “And I am Valkyrie.”
