The strange otter
Wolf queen
Once there was a baby otter named fluffy and she was strange. It had long been a rule otters must stay away from survivors at all costs but fluffy didn’t want to she wanted to meet the survivors. One day her mother went out to catch some fish and so fluffy swam into the water to go to the survivor base across the lake but the current washed her away and down stream she went never to see her mother again. When she came to she saw bright lights and she was scared. Am I dead? She thought. Then she heard strange noises. She sat up and peered over the edge of whatever she was in. That was when she saw her first glimpse of survivors but there were two old otters two. What’s going on where am I she called to them. Then the survivors came over. They fed her two meals a day and she couldn’t see why her mom said not to go near them. One day they took her outside and down to a lake. Go free girl they said encouragingly. So she swam away. It has been three years since this happened and fluffy had made a friend named baby who was two years older than her. One day they where playing in the ocean and a megalodon snuck up on them and it but babies tail off and it bit fluffys stomach. Again she woke up to bright lights but this time she was in the cage with the two older otters. Have you seen another otter around here she asked hurriedly. Yes I think she said her name was baby. That’s great where is she. Well we haven’t seen her in two months. She had a baby but it died and we haven’t seen her since.
One day the survivors moved her to a different cage and there she saw baby. But there was a pup on her belly. I though your baby died fluffy asked. It did but the survivors gave me this one. They are hoping you will raise one to fluffy. I’m never taking care of a stinky baby she said quickly.
But one day the survivors brought her a baby and it was so small and helpless she decided she would care for it.
Eventually the pups grew up and where released back into the wild and lived a happy life with babies of their own.
