Ferra’s Dream

Chapter 12

The giant stone base was surrounded by humans, they walked in and out of doors, they almost looked like ants to a mound. The human led Ferra to the side of the building where many more humans walked around, all doing different things. Here, up against the wall of the building, was what looked like some kind of taming trap, humans used them for taming creatures they wanted. The human leading Ferra stopped in front of one of the traps as another human walked up to them. “Dr. Roc-“ the human started, but stopped as the female human glared at him. “D-Dr. R” he stuttered, she nodded in approval. “Would you like us to immobilize the specimen that the great and powerful god has brought us and take it to one of the observation pens?” The human asked, glancing at Ferra who loomed over the two humans, her face unchanging. “No.” Dr. R replied sternly, the other human seemed slightly shocked by her response. “This beauty is too much for you to handle” she finished before pushing her glasses up. The human now seemed slightly annoyed, but nodded and waved towards some other humans. Two other humans, also male, ran up to the dinosaur gates on the trap and hauled them open. Dr. R calmly walked into the trap, as if walking into it with a mutated untamed Ferox was no big deal. Once the both of them were inside the trap, Dr. R turned to look at Ferra. “I won’t let anyone hurt you, I just want to understand you, I promise” She said before walking out the dinosaur gates that closed behind her.

Another human with a clipboard walked up to Dr. R, she sighed as he approached, then quickly made herself look tough and serious. “Dr. R” said the man “why don’t we just inject the specimen with element, while we’re at it, why don’t we just do it to ourselves too? We could be closer to the great one that way” Dr. R clearly didn’t want to talk to this person, but she seemed to remain calm.
