I have found the easiest way to tame is to have a pack of like 3 dilos with a pachy or 2 peppered in and just go for it it gets distracted and kills your pets while you hammer tranq arrows into it... make sure you have at least 50 narcotics and 10 arrows on you and a lot of berries.
