ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion

I love raptors, and I wanted to make a pack, but there’s one problem: taming limit. I can only have forty dinos, and I’m on a private server. I thought “Maybe if I reject some creatures, they will become wild again!”. But they die from neglect if you do that. So I wanted a pteranodon and I needed more taming room. My brother and I play with the one character. So my brother took take a beautiful green female raptor and killed it to get the pteranodon cause I couldn’t. I cried over her loss, and we will have to kill more in order to tame more. Any recommendations on what to do?
