Decimus:We need more people, how about Antony?

There was mumbling. Antony was a dyed in the wool Caesarian who’s loyalty would only go as far as god knows.

Suddenly Cassius spoke up.

Cassius:Hold up! On another conspiracy I invited Antony and he said no. So we got scared and the whole thing fell apart.

Brutus:Alright, no Antony. How about Cicero?

Cicero was a different story, he predated Caesar’s power hungry streak and was very intelligent.

Decimus:But, he’s been spending a lot of time with Caesarians, this isn’t good.

Can anyone vouch for him?

Everyone:No.

Decimus:Ok, let’s just move ahead in our present form.

Brutus:Ok this should be public, no back alley murders.

Decimus:How about on the the podium?

Brutus:In front of the whole electorate? Stop telling jokes we’ll all die.

Cassius:How about this. On the bridge TO the election Caesar gets jumped by us, some of us fight the bodyguards, push Caesar in the river, won’t kill him but we can have guys underneath the bridge to finish it.

Brutus:That’s better, that doesn’t mean good. It’s complex and relies on the skill of a bunch of senators.

Decimus:You know, I own gladiators as a side business. Leave the killing to the professionals?

This split the conspiracy by three factions. Suddenly Caesar made an announcement.

Caesar:Romans! I will be leaving on campaign on March 18!

Brutus:Sh*t! We don’t have months to plan this out. We have weeks!

All ideas were scrapped and they went to the drawing board.

Decimus:How about we kill him at a senate meeting. It’s public, just not, THAT public.

Brutus:Alright, we Kill him on the ides of March. Cassius you cool with that?

Cassius:Yep.
